Mitch Royer Joins Craftsmen Events

Craftsmen Events announced today that Guinness Book of World Records holder Mitch Royer will be joining as a managing partner, assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development.

While Royer has produced numerous events including brewery and restaurant openings and SXSW events and activations, he joins Craftsmen Events with a background primarily in children’s ministry having previously worked within some of the largest churches in the U. S.

Craftsmen Events co-founder Jake Clements states, “Our interest in working with Mitch stems from the fact that he has experience with these mega-organizations such as Willow Creek in Chicago and Sun Valley in Phoenix where they produce massive events literally on a weekly basis.”

Immediately prior to joining Craftsmen Events, mitch served as Children’s Pastor at Austin Ridge in Bee Cave and LifeAustin, known for its Amphitheatre, in west Austin and he has garnered a reputation as one of the most creative and engaging personalities in the business.

“The limitless imagination and almost childlike enthusiasm Mitch brings to Craftsmen Events can’t be quantified or overstated. He conveys a joy in his events that you have to experience to understand,” says Craftsmen Events co-founder, Clayton Corn. “We couldn’t be happier that he wanted to join our team.”

“Mitch is an amazing networker, but beyond that, he’s a team-builder” Corn continues. “We believe he’ll open a lot of doors that will allow Craftsmen Events to grow into the company we’re trying to build.”

“I’ve never been more excited for a new adventure,” Royer says of his move to Craftsmen Events. “There really is no limit to what this company can achieve and I can’t tell you how great it feels to get in on the ground floor of something that is going to be this much fun.”

In 2018 Royer became a holder of a Guinness Book World Record when he organized the largest congregation of people dressed as rabbits. “There are just times in your life when dressing 255 people up as bunnies seems like the right thing to do,” Royer says of the record-breaking attempt. “I thought about covering myself with 637,001 bees, but this just seemed so much easier.”

“With Mitch in our family, the sky’s the limit for our little company,” says Clements. “He really does complete our core management group and we are very excited to see where this goes.”
